United Insurance supports Bequia Hospital

The Bequia Hospital is now better equipped to provide health care to residents and visitors on the island, having received a valuable donation from regional insurer, United Insurance Company Limited.{{more}} The company recently presented the health institution with medication and medical supplies in the amount of EC$5,000.

John Barnard, local representative for United Insurance, presented the supplies to the staff at the hospital.

“We at United Insurance see our responsibility as more than providing quality general insurance solutions to our customers. It is our duty as a good corporate citizen to give support to those institutions and activities which add value to the lives of the people in our communities and we are indeed happy to make such a worthy donation to the hospital,” said Barnard.

The hospital also received an added bonus, as Barnard and a few friends also made a personal donation of a few additional medical supplies and a refrigerator to the island’s sole medical facility. Sister Peters and the staff of the Bequia Hospital, when receiving the supplies, expressed their sincere gratitude for the donations and the support of United Insurance and its associates.
