The Blackberry Z10 launch was held on May 14 at the Flow Wine Bar on James Street, and as a result, two persons walked away with the new Blackberry Z10 handset, free of cost.

Winning the Z10 as a door prize were Lucy Saunders (Saunders Equipment and Trucking Services) and Deidre Myers.

Four other persons were rewarded with different types of Blackberry smart phones.

General manager at Frank B. Armstrong Fitzroy Samuel and Paul MacLeish of SVG TV both won Blackberry Bold 9900 smart phones, while Akeila Crichton of Right Stuff and Bishen John of the SVG Port Authority took home Blackberry Curve 9320 handsets.

The launch was attended by a number of business persons from throughout the country and public relations officer Digicel Eastern Caribbean Jerry George used the opportunity to introduce members of the business country to Digicel’s new country manager Sean Latty.

Meanwhile George described the Z10 as the latest in Blackberry smart phones. He said that it is the first BlackBerry to carry the new operating system.

The Z10 has a replaceable battery (1800mAh) and a micro SD slot which can be used to expand the existing 16GB of internal storage. It has front and rear facing 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras and is capable of capturing 1080p and 720p video respectively.

It also has Bluetooth 4, Near Field Communication (NFC), dual-band Wi-Fi and 4G compatibility, among other features.

The phone was described as ideal for a businessman on the go, as well as someone just looking for a great device.
