On Saturday, May 11, in celebration of Mother’s Day, Digicel, in collaboration with Coreas City Store, held a huge promotion aimed at rewarding the country’s moms.

The promotion was held at Digicel’s Flagship store, The Cell, located on Halifax Street and saw mother’s themselves winning prizes, as well as persons winning prizes for their mothers.

Marketing manager at Digicel Juno De Roche said the promotion was aimed at giving back to the country’s mothers who, in some instances, are forgotten.

The promotion saw customers who topped up EC$10 getting an additional $10 bonus credit, while persons who topped up $15 or more or purchased a handset got an opportunity to spin the Digicel Wheel of Fortune, where they won different prizes.

DeRoche said that Coreas contributed to the promotion by giving lovely gift sets and floral arrangements.

“You can give these lovely gifts to your mom, your girlfriend, your sister,” said De Roche on Saturday, while adding “as usual Digicel tries to say thank you to all our customers”.

Winners on Saturday included Jason Cadogan of Sion Hill. He bought EC$15 credit, spun the Wheel of Fortune and walked away with a floral arrangement.

“I would be giving this to my mother for her Mother’s Day…I didn’t expect to win anything when I topped up, so this is a nice gift to give my mother”, said Cadogan.

Another winner, Winston John of Chester Cottage, described himself as very lucky. He explained that he was going to pass on his winnings to his mother Cynthia.

“This promotion is a special one for all mothers. People can come here, purchase and win things for their mothers. It is a good gesture and I hope they continue for years to come”, said John.

Paleasa Bynoe of Paul’s Avenue said that she had heard about the promotion while passing outside the store and decided to take advantage of the opportunity. She topped up EC$15 and got the opportunity to spin the wheel and was more than elated to accept her prize of a gift set.

“The gift made my day and I thank Digicel”, said Bynoe.

Anesta Providence of Sion Hill was another winner. She took home a floral arrangement.

“I am going to put in on my centre table. I am really happy”, she said.

Saturday’s promotion was just one of many that Digicel organized to reward mothers.
