Fisherman’s Day Committee elects new chairman

A new chairman has been elected to head the Fisherman’s Day Committee.{{more}}

Winsbert Harry of the Goodwill Fishermen’s Cooperative Society Ltd was elected, following the recent resignation of Winfield Tannis-Abbott.

Harry is a full-time fisherman and is an executive member of the Goodwill Fishermen’s Cooperative of Rose Place.

Fisherman’s Month is celebrated this year, with the theme: “Increasing Fishing Productivity through Innovative Technology,” and slogan “New Technology, Fish Effectively.”

Fisherman’s Day will be held on May 20, (Whit Monday) at the Calliaqua Fisheries Centre.
