At a meeting on April 20, Colin Smith, senior pastor of Christian Life Centre/Ministries was elected president. He was formerly vice president.

Other executive members who were returned are Reverend Shakika Fraser, Secretary and Chiefton Charles, Treasurer. A slate of three committee members was elected. These are Reverend Verrol Blake of Ambassadors for Christ; Dr. George Frederick, Pastor Hill Top Tabernacle of Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies; and Frances A. Clarke, Deaconess Christian Life Centre/Ministries. Sonny Williams, Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was elected the vice president.

The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Association of Evangelical Churches (SVG AEC) has been in existence since 1979. It was formed in response to the need to coordinate assistance to persons who needed help during the La Soufriere volcanic eruption of that year.

One of the association’s top priorities over the years has been to foster a righteous unified response among the churches to the various challenges that come up in SVG. Over the years, innovative projects have included Kessick, and Bible Stories in Vincy Twang!
