SVG Gospel festival continues with zonal showcases

Activities for the Busta Fruta 2013 SVG Gospel Festival will continue this weekend with several zonal gospel showcases being held around the country.{{more}}

There are expected to be presentations in song, dance, drama and sermonette, as the various artistes look towards being selected for the National Showcases which will be held at the Victoria Park on April 28 and 29.

Tonight, showcases will be held at 7 p.m. at the Faith and Life Pentecostal Church in North Leeward, the Paget Farm Community Centre in Bequia, the Faith Temple Church at New Montrose (song) and at Davis Square, Richland Park.

Tomorrow, Saturday, April 20, at 7 p.m., there will zonal showcases at the Faith Temple Church at New Montrose (dance and drama) and at the Kingdom Life Ministries, South Leeward.

Showcases will also be held tomorrow and Sunday at Davis Square, Richland Park. The showcase on Saturday will begin at 7 p.m., and on Sunday from 5:30 p.m.

On Sunday, the Vermont Miracle Church and the Park Hill Community Centre will host showcases, both beginning at 6 p.m.

There is expected to be even more heightened interest and improved performances this year, as Mt Zion Productions, which is owned and operated by international gospel recording artiste Jason Providence, is offering a recording and video contract to the most outstanding performer in this year’s festival.

SVG Gospel Fest, which is into its 11th year, is being celebrated under the theme: “Lifting Jesus Higher”.
