This event involves the modelling of sand into sculpture simply for the fun of it, where participants are then rewarded by prizes, compliments Karib Cable. On collecting his prize, event winner Cameron Tramley of Winnipeg, Canada, said he was elated to have won and that he wants to express his gratitude to his family for helping him with his creation and to the organizer of the event. He also stated that he and his family always come to Bequia for the Easter activities each year, as there is a different experience every time.

Vance Garraway marketing executive of Karib Cable said: “As a corporate entity, Karib Cable sees it as a duty to be involved in family activities, not just for the locals, but to visitors to our beautiful island as well.

“This family event came just after our successful 15th annual kite flying competition, where emphasis is placed on family participation.”
