No charges yet in Block 2000, Gomea shooting deaths

Up to press time, no charges were laid in connection with the shooting deaths of Block 2000 resident Gary Williams and Belair resident Elmore Mapp.{{more}}

On March 9, Mapp, 46, succumbed to two gunshot wounds, following a robbery at the home he shared with his friend, Glaston Hunte, in Gomea.

It was reported that the robber/killer made off with over $300.

On March 15, Gary Williams’ bullet riddled body laid lifeless in the vicinity of the Moulton Mayers Architects Building on Higginson Street.

It is alleged that a vehicle pulled up on Higginson Street, two men alighted from it and opened fire on Williams.
