Barefoot opened the country’s first ASA sailing school in 1997, and since that time they have taken thousands of people, including many Vincentian and other Caricom nationals, through the ASA certification, which is recognised worldwide as a significant credential, a release from the company said.
Barefoot runs its courses every week of the year, both on monohulls and catamarans, and in February 2013, they opened the country’s first Ladies-Only sailing school which completed its first cruise on 23rd February.
When slots are available, the company offers significant discounts for Vincentians and is currently developing a programme to increase opportunities for local folks to get out on the water, the release said.
