Cubs, scouts, leaders host church parade, camp fire, in honour of founder
Last Friday, February 22 marked the birthday of the founder of the Scout movement, Robert Baden-Powell.{{more}}
In honour of their founder, the local boy scout movement will have a church parade and a camp fire.
Today, cubs, scouts, venture scouts and scout leaders will march from the Peace Memorial Hall to the Kingstown Methodist church for the church service The service will be led by Reverend Pierre of the Georgetown/Mt Coke circuit of the Methodist Church.
Tomorrow, Saturday, cubs, scouts, venture scouts and scout leaders will gather at scout headquarters from 5 p.m. for a founderâs day camp fire.
The scout movement will mark its 100th year as a movement in St Vincent from April 17 this year.
