Digicel hosts first Business After Hours for 2013

Digicel continues to hold public forums to educate people about their various products and services.{{more}}

On Thursday, February 7, the company held its first such forum dubbed “Business after Hours”.

The first “Business after Hours” session for 2013 was held at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s conference room which is located in the Coreas Building on Halifax Street.

One of the facilitators at the session Corporate Sales Executive Diana Caesar said that the Business after Hours forum sought to educate customers about the new direction Digicel is taking through the company’s partnership with sister-company Nextar.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products discussed at the session included, Bulk Texting (SMS), IP PBX, Dedicated Internet Access (Internet provided over Digicel’s Microwave point to point solution), Business Voice (E1/T1-Digital circuit for voice connection through existing PBX System),Business Voice (Fixed Wireless Terminal-integrate with fixed line units or PBX to reduce cost by at least 30%), GSM Security Surveillance and GSM Vehicle Tracking Solution.

“Digicel customers will be able to optimize their ICT infrastructure and save money once they take advantage of any our new products”, said Caesar.

Other facilitators at the session included Country Manager Sonia Polius and Corporate Sales Executive Karen Charles.

Polius described the session as an, “informative session to let the public know how we are going to continue to serve them as the bigger better network”.

Polius added that Digicel is making sure that customers get what they want when dealing with Digicel.

After the session, a raffle was held and saw Director of Culture Anthony Theobalds walking away with a Blackberry Playbook.

Theobalds said that he was really glad to win the tablet.

“I always wanted one of these devices, so this is very very nice”, said Theobalds.
