The grand prize of a Mazda Demio was won by Redemption Sharpes resident Reginald Lucas, who said he was “happy” to have won the car.

The second prize of a 4G Iphone was won by Orlando Ferguson of Arnos Vale.

“I am very thankful that I won the prize of second place. Not 100 per cent pleased, but thankful still,” Ferguson said.

Lower Questelles resident Javier Gutierrezz, who celebrates his birthday this month, won the third prize of a 30 inch LG LCD television.

Gutierrezz, who bought five tickets, said he was going to throw them away, because he felt he may not have won.

“This is a birthday gift and I thank God that I won it, although I was thinking about throwing away the tickets.

“I kept them and I am very happy with the results,” he said.

The raffle was held as part of efforts to raise funds for the police force cricket team to travel to the Regional Security System (RSS) cricket tournament to be held in St Lucia over the Easter weekend.

St Vincent and the Grenadines are the defending champions. (AA)
