The Lions Club St Vincent South hosted the team, which includes gastroenterologist, Vincentian Dr Stephen Nanton.

The team provides a modern and technological endoscopy service, through which persons are able to seek treatment and attention for their upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts.

The team began working last weekend to clear a backlog of persons requiring medical procedures.

Apart from providing the medical procedures, the doctors have been providing training and transferring the skills necessary for the operation and upkeep of the equipment handed over to the hospital.

The visit was made possible through the efforts of the Lions Club St Vincent South and Paul St John.

This is the third consecutive year that the team from the Avera Mckennan Hospital has visited.
