National Science and Technology Fair scheduled for Monday
The National Science and Technology Fair is scheduled to be held from January 21 to January 25 under the theme âDeveloping a Scientifically Literate Vincentian Society through Innovative Science and Technologyâ.{{more}}
According to a press release, projects can be entered under various categories, including agricultural science, behavioural and social science, chemistry, computer science, mathematics engineering and environmental sciences.
Projects can also be entered in categories of medicine and health, physics, biology, food science, explanatory model, scientific drawing posters and go creative.
The press release also stated that students from primary, secondary and tertiary institutions are expected to showcase the findings of their investigations which they worked on individually or in small groups, with the aid of their teachers.
Members of the public are also allowed to enter their projects, the press release further stated.
The fair will be held at the Girl Guidesâ Headquarters and will be open for public viewing on January 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on January 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All winning entries will be awarded prizes.
The fair is being hosted by the Ministry of Education and the St Vincent and the Grenadines Science Teachersâ Association and is sponsored mainly by St Vincent Electricity Services (VINLEC).
Other sponsors include Eastern Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) and St Vincent Brewery Limited.
