Anglican community to host lecture/seminar

The local Anglican community will host a lecture/seminar entitled “Reflections on Faith of Our Fathers — The Development of the Apostles’ Creed” on Friday and Saturday.{{more}}

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Anglican Pastoral Centre at Montrose, The Rt. Rev. C. Leopold Friday, Bishop of the Windward Islands, said in a release.

The topics to be covered include Evolution versus Creation; There is only one God; Jesus is the only Son of God; How do we distinguish the Human from the Divine? The Kiss of Peace; He descended into Hell; The Communion of Saints; Benefits of Our Lord’s Resurrection; The Journey of the Sabbath to Sunday; The Holy Catholic Church; The Trinity; and How does the Holy Spirit Work?

The lecturer is Rev John Augustine Rogers, Rector of the St Luke Church, Barbados. He holds a Bachelor of Science in natural sciences from the University of the West Indies, a Bachelor of Arts in theology from Codrington College and a Master of Philosophy in theology. He is presently pursuing his doctoral studies.

The lecture is open to the clergy and other members of the church, with a registration fee of $50 per person.
