Candice Sealey, head of sales and marketing at SVGBC said Christmas at SVGBC would be truly different, with options for existing and potential business partners, SVGBC said in a release.

One of the highlights of the launch, which took the form of a press briefing, was the announcement of the “CHIMES” promotion on both Hitz 103.7 & Ezee Radio.

In the promotion, announcers will offer clues to listeners, who would then guess what is on Santa’s list, based on these clues. Listeners will then be rewarded with prizes from several business houses.

SVGBC says that while many shoppers are concerned about their available disposable income, Hitz 103.7 and Western Union will assist in this area with its “5 Days of Christmas Cash”.

One of the new additions to the Hitz 103.7 Christmas line-up is the 2012 “Radio Farm”, where persons can win hams, the release further said.

Ezee Radio will also be a part of the Christmas celebrations with its Christmas Spirit Awards, in association with Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as a singing competition where listeners can also win prizes.

“One of the things that we pride ourselves on, is being able to create activities and programmes that are relevant to our audience as well as what’s happening here and now — and right now it’s Christmas,” the release quotes Sealey as saying at the launch.

Meanwhile, SVGTV will present Christmas greetings with its Christmas Train, which will record Christmas greetings on the spot in and around Kingstown; SVGTV’s Christmas Countdown, designed to highlight the hours and minutes until Christmas Day; as well as special Christmas programming, the release further said.
