Five Vincentians awarded OAS academic scholarships

Five Vincentians have been awarded Organization of American States (OAS) academic scholarships for 2013-14, this country’s United Nations mission says.{{more}}

Information from St Vincent and the Grenadines’ UN mission says Camesha Browne, Karen De Freitas, and La Sana King were awarded undergraduate scholarships.

Rose-Ann Williams and Taja Young-Cupid were awarded graduate scholarships.

With five scholarship recipients, SVG tied with St Lucia for the most OAS scholarships awarded for the 2013-2014 season.

But, like Antigua and Barbuda — four scholarships, and Grenada — four scholarships, the SVG scholarship recipients are all women.
