In a judgement handed down last week, the Court of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, sitting in Antigua, ruled in favour of the former prime minister.

Sir James was represented at the Appeal Court by lawyers Ramesh Maharaj and Kezi Francis of LMJ Chambers.

The Commission of Inquiry, which commenced on April 28, 2003, was set up to investigate the Ottley Hall Marina and Shipyard Project and Union Island Project. These development projects commenced during the 1990’s when Sir James was the prime minister and minister of finance of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
