Karib Cableâs customer service supervisor Antonella Medica on October 17 surprised Pamela Pompey â technical supervisor and Dexter Joseph â maintenance technician with the donation of one wheelbarrow, two shovels, one spade and two rakes to assist with the grounds keeping efforts at the Gardens.
âWe were quite surprised to receive the unexpected gifts from Karib Cable,â said Pompey.
âThe team at Karib Cable has always been very supportive of the Botanic Gardens and we really appreciate the ongoing assistance. The equipment donated will help us and will make it easier to maintain and to beautify the gardens for our local patrons and visitors to enjoy,â she added.
Medica stated: âThis is just one of the many corporate efforts Karib Cable extends to the community in the way of support, not only to the Botanic Gardens, but for all Vincentians to benefit and to enjoy.â
Karib Cable also hosted a number of charitable events last week in acknowledgement of World Food Day. These included donations of seedlings to a number of local schools in continued support of KCâs âPlant a Seed Today, Feed the World Tomorrowâ initiative and the donation of 12 food baskets to needy households throughout the island.
