14-year-old Biabou girl missing since October 6

Haadiyah Grant, a 14-year-old resident of Biabou, has been missing since October 6, her mother, Jemma Haywood-Grant, told SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday.{{more}}

The missing girl is a fourth form student of St Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua.

Haywood-Grant said the youngest of her three daughters left home without any additional clothes, money, or her cellphone.

She said Haadiyah was at home with her sister on that Saturday.

But the mother said when she returned home at approximately 7 p.m., Haadiyah was not there.

“The last persons see her is at Orange Hill, Sunday gone (October 14),” the mother said. “They see her in a white top and short pants.”

She further stated that someone had called to inform her that they saw her daughter in Sion Hill on Saturday in the same outfit.

Haywood-Grant said her daughter had left home for two days in February, without informing her family.

She stayed at another residence in Biabou, her mother said.

Haywood-Grant said her smile during the interview is a part of her personality, but she is hurting.

“Even when I [am] vex, I smile … Inside is painful but that’s how I [am].”

She said she would like her daughter to return home and is pleading with the public to keep an eye out for Haadiyah.

“Anybody see her, just inform me or get to the nearest police station so that I can get her back,” the mother said.

“Nobody had done her anything wrong. Why she had to leave home?” Haywood-Grant said.

She further said she has filed a missing person report with the police.(BK)
