The outlet is the second since the franchise was introduced here two years ago.

Speaking to SEARCHLIGHT, general manager of Subway Tamisha Browne said the new location would cater for persons on that side of Kingstown.

“We wanted to have two locations in town, because people downtown needed to have easier access to Subway…” Browne said.

The first Subway outlet was opened here on August 2, 2010, on James Street, opposite Digicel’s main office.

One customer told SEARCHLIGHT he was happy with the new outlet, because it would save him “from walking all the way up to town to get one”.

Subway and its 37,884 restaurants operate in some 99 countries around the world.
