Agency informs Vincentians in New York City of investment opportunities at home
Invest SVG, the nationâs investment promotion agency, has informed Vincentians in New York City about investment opportunities in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).{{more}}
The agency made a presentation at the St SVG Diaspora and Development Conference hosted by the SVG Diaspora Committee of New York on October 6.
Cleo Huggins, executive director of Invest SVG, delivered a presentation on tourism development, light manufacturing, agro-processing, international financial services, creative industries, renewable energy, and information and communication technology, the agency said in a release.
Huggins commented that participation in the conference was to reaffirm the agencyâs commitment to working with the diaspora for the overall economic development of SVG.
âWe recognise the diaspora is a rich resource and we hope to engage them in investments, investment promotions and technical assistance,â Huggins said.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph E. Gonsalves delivered the featured address at the conference and there were also presentations by public and private sector representatives.
On Wednesday, the agency will be host a business registration drive, as a part of the SVG Economic Partnership Agreement Implementation Unitâs exhibition under the Singer Building gallery from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Invest SVG said it is inviting the business community to visit the exhibition and take advantage of the agencyâs free business registration, which grants businesses the opportunity to be a part of the agencyâs mailing list, access grant funding, training and scholarship information, early invitations to local, regional and international trade shows.
