Colonarie Bridge closed for rehabilitative work

The Ministry of Transport, Works, Urban Development and Local Government has announced that the Colonarie Bridge will be closed from October 1 for rehabilitative works.{{more}}

The recently constructed bypass route would be used as a diversion in the interim.

The necessary directional signs would be posted and give indication of the bypass route, the ministry said.

It further advised that motorists approach at a reduced speed and take caution.

A pedestrian bridge will be provided approximately 250 feet upstream from the Colonarie Bridge as an alternative to pedestrians traversing the entire length of the bypass route.
