BRAGSA summer road cleaning programme begins

The Roads, Buildings and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) commenced its summer road cleaning programme on Monday in various communities throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

The programme is expected to run for a period of two to three weeks, at a cost of approximately EC$ 1million and will employ approximately 2,300 persons. These include gangs, jobbers and truckers.

In a release, BRAGSA said they would be focusing mainly on the clearing of drains and road verges.

“Although we are into the hurricane season, so far we have not had any severe weather conditions affecting St Vincent and the Grenadines, this does not mean we should become complacent.

“We want to urge the public to keep drains clear and to protect their surroundings during the hurricane season,” the release said.
