Beware – Counterfeit EC$100 bills in circulation

The public is asked to note that counterfeit one hundred dollar EC notes (EC$100) are currently being circulated in St Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

A release from the East Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) said persons are therefore asked to be on the lookout for these illegal notes and to exercise vigilance when conducting transactions.

Persons are also reminded that counterfeit notes do not have any value and it is a criminal offence to pass them on. Therefore, if you think you have any of these notes in your possession, take them to the nearest police station or to the ECCB Agency Office at Frenches.
