About halfway through belting out some of his hits, such as âBubble Gyalâ and âWinnerâ, it was obvious that Konshensâ performance was not winning the crowd over.
Without notice, Trinidadian Soca superstar Machel Montano ran onto the stage, causing the crowd to go wild for the man who has become known as âMr Feteâ. Montano, who was in the country for the Lime H20 wet fete party on Saturday, had the crowd in full party mood, with some women even climbing on to the barricades to get a closer look at the Soca star and to snap photographs.
Within a matter of seconds, local soca giant, Gamal âSkinny Fabulousâ Doyle, also unannounced, rushed on stage and added to the frenzy the crowd was already in.
The three-time soca monarch gave patrons a taste of what he has in store for them come Saturday, July 7, when he will try to dethrone reigning soca monarch Delroy âFiremanâ Hooper with his song âMonsterâ, which is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits for Vincy Mas 2012.
