The Old Montrose resident, who earlier last month, in an article in the Searchlight, disclosed that he had lost sight in both eyes, told Searchlight on Tuesday that he is now able to see.
Last month, George said he was distressed about not being able to see. The 53-year-old had related that earlier this year, he began experiencing problems in his left eye, two years after he lost sight in his right eye.
He said he had surgery on May 31, at the Milton Cato Memorial, which was done by doctors from the American Medical mission team.
âIn my blindness, I had to go down in prayer and thank the Almighty for what he has done for me.â
He added that he maintained his faith in God.
âThere is a talk going around saying that faith moves mountains, but some people think is St Andrew Mountain or Green Hill Mountain. No! The enemy is what you call the mountain, because in my situation, the enemy coming and telling me to do things, but I pray and I trample the enemy that come to me,â George related.
George extended thanks to a number of persons, including those who brought him food, prayed with him, helped him and visited him while he was at home.
The long list of thank-yous included Raffy King of NBC Radio, Pastors of the Faith Temple Church at New Montrose and the New Testament Church at Liberty Lodge and Searchlight Newspaper.
George also encouraged persons to pray in and out of season and reassured persons that he will be back out to work soon, after he has had sufficient rest. (OS)
