District 60 comprises Lions and Leo clubs in Districts 60 A and B. The Lions and Leo clubs of St Vincent and the Grenadines are part of District 60 B, which stretches from Cayman in the north to Grenada in the south.

Lion Isaac MJF received a hundred percent of the ballots cast in the election and received a thunderous applause when he was announced as winner. Lion Isaac will be installed as District Governor of 60 B in 2014, becoming the second Vincentian to rise to this position in recent times. His induction and installation will be historic, as 2014 will mark the 50th anniversary of Lionism in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Lion Isaac has been a member of the Lions Club South since 1996 and has held several positions within his club, zone, and district. He has served as Director for many years, Secretary, Treasurer and has held the post of President on two consecutive occasions. In 2004, he served as Zone Chairman of 3C and as Region Chairman for Region 3 in the 2009 and has held other Cabinet Positions, such as Leadership Chair for Zone 3C.

Lion Isaac has been described by many as “a very dependable and reliable lion who stops at nothing to improve the lot of the needy, disadvantaged and unfortunate in our community. He has a deep appreciation for the circumstances of the people we serve and is a valuable resource to the Lions Movement; simply put Lion Isaac is a model lion.”

Lion Tony Buncamper MJF of St Maarten was elected as District Governor of 60 B and Lion Izet Mccella MJF of Jamaica as First Vice District Governor. The Multiple District 60 Convention was held under the theme, ‘a golden legacy…a dynamic future.’

Meanwhile, members of the Lions Club South are still in celebratory mood, as they were the proud recipient of the award for outstanding work in the field of Agriculture and the Environment, having spearheaded the planting of 100 trees in conjunction with the local forestry Department in April.
