Ministry of Culture hosts African Liberation Day this Friday

The Ministry of Culture will once again host its annual African Liberation Day commemoration this Friday, May 25.{{more}}

The event, which will take place at the Rose Place hard court, will feature several musical performances from the artists and drumming groups of the Rose Place community.

There will also be a food fair, rally and speeches. The feature address will be made by Jomo Thomas.

Cultural Officer in the Ministry of Culture Michael Peters stated that African Liberation Day focuses on the struggle for African Independence and recognition of Africa. The day will also educate people about the history of Africa and its relevance to St Vincent and the Grenadines. The activities are expected to begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m.
