Forensic Audit being conducted at IADC

Action against those involved in the theft of EC$63,744 from the International Airport Development Company (IADC) will be determined following the conclusion of a forensic audit at the company.{{more}}

This, according to Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves who on Tuesday at a press briefing said that the audit is being done because the IADC wanted to find the truth about what was taking place and to do some restructuring within the entity.

“But very much to provide evidence to the police,” Gonsalves said.

“I have not been advised since I returned whether the forensic audit is complete,” he continued.

If not, the prime minister said that he expected that it will be completed soon and that the report would be submitted and then a determination be made into what will then take place.

Back in February this year, it was revealed that the IADC had been defrauded of $63,744 by two junior staff members.

Jennifer Richardson-Herbert, the IADC Communications Officer said that the fraud took place through the issuing of fraudulent invoices to the company.(DD)
