On Monday, Minister of Health Clayton Burgin was presented with six ceiling fans and three dozen pillows from VINLEC’s Communications Manager Tamara Job-Sprott.

The Health Minister said that patient comfort is of great concern to him, and he has placed the issue on the front burner.

According to Burgin, during a visit to the hospital in March, he observed that the ceiling fans in place had done their time, resulting in some discomfort being experienced by patients.

He explained that it was in dialogue with Permanent Secretary, Luis de Shong that the need to create additional links with business entities for the much needed assistance was discussed.

“This response by VINLEC is indeed another demonstration of their commitment to lend support to national worthy causes,” the Minister said.

Job-Sprott, speaking on behalf of Vinlec, said that the company has been making donations for many years to various charities and it was an honour for them to make another donation, this time to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

“VINLEC has always been honored to make such contributions and we ask and hope that these will assist the patients a very long way,” she added. (AA)
