Karib Cable donates $5,000 to Blondie Bird and Friends
Karib Cable has contributed $5,000 to the 2012 presentation of the defending âBand of the Yearâ champions, Blondie Bird and Friends.{{more}}
According to Vance Garraway, Karib Cableâs Marketing Executive, over the years, the company has always been a part of Vincentian heritage and culture.
âThis is another way of expressing our support to one of the top Mas Bands in SVG for this year,â Garraway said, at the presentation ceremony, which took place on Friday, April 27.
The company sponsored one of the ten sections for Blondie Bird and Friendsâ presentation, âA glimpse of Kingstownâ, called âFiber Opticâ.
Elroy âBlondie Birdâ Boyde, Band leader, responded, saying that he was happy to be associated with Karib Cable.
A confident Boyde further said that he intends to successfully defend the title this year.
The band is 75 per cent complete, he explained, saying the band is expected to be bigger this year.
âWe going to win – I donât know how them fellers going beat we,â he said.
