Invest SVG partners with SJCK Past Students’ Association

Invest SVG recently participated in the graduation exercise of the St Joseph’s Convent Kingstown (SJCK).{{more}}

Partnering with the SJCK Past Students’ Association, Invest SVG was able to sponsor three trophies, in recognition of the excellence of three students.

Awards sponsored by Invest SVG were: “The student that best reflects the ideals of SJCK”- awarded to Arianne Greaves; “Most outstanding student in French” – awarded to Zenica Francis; and “Most outstanding student in Spanish” – awarded to Brianah McKie. All three students also received Invest SVG paraphernalia, and were briefed on the internship programme.

The graduation ceremony took place on Thursday, April 26.

Meanwhile, Invest SVG is already preparing for their Secondary School Summer Internship Programme.

The programme, targeted at fourth and fifth formers, began last year, and will be held for one month during the July/August vacation period. It offers students the opportunity to intern at Invest SVG, where they will get first-hand exposure to the operations of Invest SVG.

There are four internship spaces available; however, the agency looks forward to welcoming other businesses on board, so as to allow more students to have access to this incredible opportunity. Students would also receive a stipend during their internship.

A nationwide school tour to promote the programme will soon be underway and application forms would also be made available to all secondary schools.
