The forum, streamed live on Tuesday, April 24, on the CXCâs website, addressed questions posted by individuals who logged into the site.
Persons were informed on the various examination requirements, the importance of School Based Assessments, the make-up of Exam Papers and Electronic Registration, among other things.
Discussing the issue of cell phones in examination rooms, Susan Giles, Senior Assistant Registrar, advised candidates to leave cell phones at home to ensure that they do not face the penalty of being caught with a cell phone in the examination room. Candidates who are found with cell phones during an examination will have their entire CSEC or CAPE results canceled.
âSee if you could live a day without having your cell phone on you,â Giles said.
Persons were also informed that if they are caught impersonating someone in an examination, their results will be cancelled. Giles also added that persons may bring notebooks into examination rooms, and give a number of excuses such as they forgot it in their desk, or they forgot to put it away. Giles added that paper one questions are strictly confidential and pleaded with candidates not to memorize questions and give them to teachers or other candidates.
Other questions ranged from clashes on timetables, checking results online and loss of ID cards.
The forum lasted for about one hour.(OS)
