West St George Secondary holds Career Fair

Students of the West St George Secondary School were educated on several career fields during their sixth annual Career Fair this Wednesday.{{more}}

The Fair, organized by the school’s Counsellor Jennifer Marshall, featured several sessions by professionals in the private and public businesses.

Marshall stated that the main aim of the fair is to educate students on possible career options. Form five students were also interviewed as a part of the career fair.

The school’s classrooms were transformed into booths, which were occupied by several businesses and government divisions who did various presentations.

Booths were set up by Central Water and Sewage Authority, the Coast Guard, Oscar Machines and National Centre of Technological Innovation. Presentations were also done on Art and Tourism as well as Fisheries. The Community College, the All Saints University and the Young Island Resort also did video presentations at the Career Fair.

Interviews were conducted by the First Caribbean Bank, the SVG Coast Guard, Community College and Service Commissions. The career fair is sponsored by Sagicor Life Incorporated.
