Congratulations to ‘Ole George’ for his Guinness World Record

The Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture Cecil McKie has extended congratulations to Earl ‘Ole George’ Daniel on attaining the Guinness World Record for his historic six days of non-stop dancing.{{more}}

“We wish to commend him on his courage and selflessness in bringing attention to the high suicide rate that plagues the Inuit people.

“He is indeed a worthy role model and has set a fine example for the young children of the Inuit community and for those at home.

“There is no doubt that his recent achievements will be spoken of for some time to come and that the high regard for his accomplishments is felt by all of us within the industry, as well as the general public,” the release said.

Mckie also contacted Daniel to congratulate him on his achievement, as McKie was also part of his contingent back in 2008, when Daniel walked in an effort to raise funds for a hospital in the USA.
