Upstage growing stronger

The Upstage Xperience is preparing to launch its entertainment for this carnival season. The Organisation has just concluded a restructuring process which has seen quite a few changes.{{more}}

Some of these changes have come at the management level, with the addition of some new faces. Dionne John, Grenville Williams, Jemron Delpeche and Jennilee Glasgow have accepted invitations to join the management team. Kamal Archibald has also officially been inducted into the organization’s structure as an arranger and musician. A source from the organization says that these new members are of sterling quality and their invitation reflected the organization’s recognition of their own accomplishments and interest in cultural matters. The source added that these persons have youth and vigour in their favour and will add to the level of professionalism and high standards already set by the Organization.

The cast for the new season also sees some changes. While some past members will not be appearing, a number of new dynamic artistes and most of last year’s cast have already signed the new membership charter which the Organisation has implemented this year. The new charter seeks to give formal direction to the tent and espouses its philosophies and objectives. The Organisation maintains a blend of youth and experience and encompasses Soca, Raga-Soca and Calypso genres, as well as comedy in all its presentations.
