SJCK hosts 2nd Anniversary Celebrations

The St Joseph’s Convent Kingstown Past Students Association has just concluded its second (2nd) Anniversary Celebrations Week of Activities under the Theme “Embrace the Past, Envision the Future”.{{more}}

The week began with a Church Service/Mass at the Cathedral of the Assumption on February 18, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. On Tuesday, February 21, members of the Association offered their service by serving lunch at the Catholic Soup Kitchen and made a contribution of food items, donated by Super J and Save A-Lot Supermarkets and Coreas Food Division, to the Soup Kitchen.

On Thursday, February 23, the Group held their first Lecturette at the School’s Auditorium, which saw attendance by Past Students as far back as 1968. The Evening was addressed by fourth former Chrystal Webb and Past Student/Vice Principal of SJCK, Antoinettte Bess-Jardine as the Featured Speaker.

The Association wrapped up its week of Activities on Saturday, February 25, with a Retreat at the School, where members revamp the Association’s Constitution.

The Association will elect a new Executive and Adopt the Draft Constitution at the next monthly meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the School’s Compound.
