The distribution of money by the telecommunications company will come as the bigger better networkâs 2011 Christmas promotion âSpell DIGICEL and winâ comes to a dramatic end. The promotion began on November 18 last year.
The seven who will vie to see who will take home the most cash were all chosen to take part in the grand finale as a result of topping up their phones EC$15 or more or paying their post paid bill on time.
The finalists are Jozette Smith, Seneca McIntosh, Sylvanus Shortte, George Bailey, Ancia Lavia, Audrey Scott and Avis Brewster. The first place winner will take home $30,000, second place will walk away with $15,000, while third place will get $10,000. Fourth and fifth place will take home $5,000 each, while sixth and seventh places will walk away with $2,500 each. The seven will play the âWheel of Dealâ game to determine their prizes.
âSpell DIGICEL and winâ offered all Digicel subscribers both prepaid and post-paid a chance to win over $250,000 in credit, prizes and cash.
Prepaid customers could have won daily and weekly prizes by topping up EC$15 or more. For every top up of $15 or more, customers automatically qualified for the daily prize of free credit as well as weekly prizes. Throughout the promotion, persons won among other things, US$500 shopping sprees compliments Aeropost, a living room set (Singer) and a Caribbean cruise for two.
For every top up of $15 or more, customers received a letter from the word âD-I-G-I-C-E-Lâ through a text message. Customers were asked to collect all seven letters to spell the word âDIGICELâ and he/she would have automatically qualified for the grand prize draw which takes place this afternoon.
