Revierre charged with possession of stolen vehicle licence stickers
New Montrose/Clare Valley resident Benedict Revierre was granted $15,000 bail after appearing at the Kingstown Magistrates Court yesterday on nine charges.{{more}}
Revierre was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charges, when he appeared in court.
It is alleged that between October 5, 2011 and January 20, 2012, at Clare Valley, Revierre had two St Vincent and the Grenadines motor vehicle licence stickers in his possession, reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained. Also, between the same dates, he is charged with dishonestly receiving two stolen licence stickers.
On January 17, 2012, it is further alleged that Revierre had one St Vincent and the Grenadines motor vehicle licence sticker, reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained.
He was also slapped with two charges that between October 5, 2011 and January 18, 2012 he used one SVG motor vehicle licence sticker, which he knew or believed to be false.
On January 18, 2012 at Kingstown, police allege that Revierre had one SVG motor vehicle licence sticker, reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained. Between October 5, 2011 and January 18, 2012, it is also alleged he received five stolen motor vehicle licence stickers.
He is also charged with dishonestly receiving two SVG motor vehicle licence stickers between February 17, 2011 and January 20, 2012. And between the same dates, he was charged with having two SVG motor vehicle licence stickers in his possession, reasonably suspected of being stolen or unlawfully obtained.
The prosecution did not object to Revierreâs bail, but noted that the matters before the court are serious and warrants that he be made to surrender his travel documents.
Senior Magistrate Donald Browne ordered Revierre to surrender his travel documents and report to the Central Police Station every Monday and Friday.
The matter was adjourned to January 30 and transferred to the Serious Offences Court.
