Lions and Leos to meet this weekend in St. Vincent

Lions and Leos from Region 3 and Zone 3C will come together this weekend in St Vincent and the Grenadines for three days of meetings and Vincy entertainment, put on by host Club, the Lions Club South.{{more}}

The delegation of visiting Lions and Leos comprises former Barbadian International Cricket Umpire – District Governor Lloyd Barker, MJF, Region Chairperson Grenadian Gloria Thomas, MJF, among others.

Lions and Leos in Zone 3C, which comprises Clubs in Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will meet at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 28. This meeting will be chaired by Lion Zone Chairman Vincentian Alson Jack and will feature the reports of the various clubs within the Zone.

The Region 3 Lions and Leos from Barbados, St Lucia, Grenada and SVG will then meet from 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 28. Visiting Region Chairperson, Grenadian Gloria Thomas will preside over this meeting. It is expected at this meeting that the nomination and candidacy of Vincentian Isaac Solomon as Second vice District Governor will be discussed ahead of the 32nd Multiple District Convention at the Hilton Hotel in Trinidad in May.

The meetings are being held a few days after Lions District Governor Lloyd Barker MJF visited the Lions and Leo Clubs of St Vincent and the Grenadines to conduct the annual District Governor’s audit of the clubs.

A packed programme of activities, including visits to some of this country’s tourism sights and entertainment put on by some of this country’s top entertainers await the visiting and local Lions and Leos. The meetings will take place at Hotel Alexandrina at Prospect from Friday, January 27 to Sunday 29.
