Vincentian born Synda A. John-Mark, currently a resident of Virginia, USA, successfully passed the Bar examination in the summer of last year, and on November 26, 2011, was admitted to practice in the State Court of Minneapolis, MN.{{more}} Subsequently on December 6, 2011, she also received admission to practice in the US Federal Court.
Mrs. John-Mark is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she received a BS in Political Science. She then obtained her Masterâs degree in African American studies from Columbia University in New York, before pursuing the Law degree at Howard University Law School in Washington DC, and from where in May of 2011 she received her J.D.
In the summer of 2010 Mrs. John-Mark interned as summer associate with the law firm of Faegre & Benson, LLP, in Minneapolis, MN, and upon graduation she accepted the position of Associate Attorney. Mrs. John-Mark will initially hold this position for one year, and then serve for one year as Law Clerk for a Federal Judge in Atlanta, GA, after which she intends to return to the firm in Minneapolis MN.
Mrs. John-Mark moved to the USA in 1983 when she was only 2 years old. However, she always maintained her loyalty to her Vincentian roots, and in August 2007, she returned to her homeland for her wedding to Alejandro L. Mark. She is the youngest daughter of Norris and Kareitha John, also residents of Virginia, USA.
