This takes place on Wednesday, December 14, at 7:00 pm, at the top village junction in Carriere, under the theme “No longer a baby: We celebrate Christ the Saviour.”

This year’s launch will take the usual form of a concert featuring numerous performances. The highlight of the evening will be the turning on of the lights, followed by speeches punctuated by performances.

Patrons attending the launch will be greeted by Minister of Culture Frederick Stephenson who will deliver the keynote address. Pastor Adolphus Isaacs of the Mesopotamia Gospel Hall Assembly will bring words of exhortation.

Performances are expected to come from the Mesopotamia Gospel Hall Choir, the Streams of Power Band, the Carriere Nine Mornings Choir, CP, the Bowmans, and the Rose Hall Boom Drummers, among others.

Persons can also expect a taste of nine mornings as local foods will be on sale.

Having won best Nine Morning’s Community on 4 occasions, 3 of them consecutively and second on another, the Carriere Nine Mornings Committee is committed to ensuring that persons attending their activities recognize the significance of Christmas and that the focus is kept at all times on Jesus Christ, the reason for the season.

This is the 9th year that the Village of Carriere is participating in organized Nine Mornings Activities.
