DNA results for three bodies could return within a month, says Miller
DNA testing for three decomposed bodies that were recently found here could conclude in one monthâs time, according to Commissioner of Police Keith Miller.{{more}}
One of the tests is to determine whether the body that was found in the Dauphine-Welcome area one month ago is that of missing woman Shanika Small. The corpse was discovered by Police around 8:30 am on October 30 on property owned by local businessman Ken Minors, a short distance from the Fenton mountain.
The other test is in relation to Anthony âBrassyâ Nero, 52, of Redemption Sharpes.
On Tuesday, September 13, a decomposed body, believed to be that of Nero, was found in a septic tank in the yard of the house of Stefforn Williams at Redemption Sharpes.
The body believed to be that of 12 year-old Layou resident, Stephon Miller, is also down for DNA testing. The decomposed body was found by police on Friday, November 4, in an area of the Layou mountains known as âHunt Holeâ, five weeks after Miller went missing from his London Road, Layou home.
On Wednesday, November 30, Miller told SEARCHLIGHT that the police are on top of their investigations and are hoping to get the confirmation of the tests soon from a lab in the region.
âThe lab has already done preliminary assesments and they have already advised us on these matters….,â Miller said.
