The Organization, which was officially formed this year, after hosting Christmas parties for children in the area since 2006, will be launched on Sunday, December 11, at the Georgetown Playing Field.
According to group founder Georgette âAunty Gâ Nanton, the Family Fun Day is being held in an effort to foster community spirit, and highlight future activities of the Organization, including this yearâs fifth anniversary Christmas party for children.
Nanton said that the Family Fun Day of activities, which takes place at the Georgetown Playing Field, will feature bouncing castles, face painting, horseback riding, and other events, including a town versus country football match.
The group held its first Christmas party for children in 2006, which has seen some of the countryâs top entertainers, including Bomani, Kevin Lyttle, Fireman Hooper, Gideon James and Carlton CP Hall perform for the children.(JJ)
