Commissioner of Police Keith Miller is urging the public to desist from giving the police bogus information in relation to fugitive Godwin Moses.{{more}}

Miller said they have been receiving telephone calls that Moses has been seen in several locations all over the country.

“We have received calls that he is here, then he is there…We are glad that the public is working with us, but we are asking that persons call us with genuine information…,” Miller pleaded.

Moses, who is accused of murder, escaped the custody of prison wardens at Her Majesty’s Prisons on November 21.

Moses, 27, a labourer of Rillan Hill, is jointly charged with Tameka Sutherland, 19, with the murder of Steveon Springer of Layou.

Springer was shot in the back of his head in the vicinity of Karib Cable on Murray Road while he was carrying his one-year-old daughter in his arms. He also sustained a gunshot wound to his hip.

If seen, persons are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at telephone numbers, 456-1810 or 457-1211 Exts. 224, 225, 226, or the nearest Police Station.
