Consuls of Netherlands meet in Trinidad

From 17 to 19 November 2011 the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Trinidad and Tobago hosted an Honorary Consuls Conference in the Carlton Savannah Hotel, Port of Spain.{{more}}

Colleagues from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Washington DC, the Regional Support Office/Consular Expertise Centre and representatives from the Foreign Relations Directorates of Curaçao and St. Maarten also participated.

Apart from Trinidad and Tobago, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Lucita Moeniralam is accredited to seven other countries in the region and also performs consular duties for Guadeloupe and for Martinique.

The meeting was very successful, informative and a great networking opportunity. The major themes were the new regulations on travel documents, the recent constitutional developments in the Dutch Caribbean and also Public and Economic Diplomacy.
