Hope Foundation of Buccament to honour Robin

Retired nurse and community worker Yvonne Robin will be honoured and will receive the “Helping Others Pursue Excellence” (HOPE) Foundation President’s award for outstanding work in her field.{{more}}

The gala affair will take place at this Saturday at the Golden Years Activity Centre at Cane Grove and will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Outstanding students in the 2011 Common Entrance, CXC, and for the first time A’Level exams will also be awarded for their achievements.

President of HOPE Foundation Rondie Edwards said the event is part of their programme to “encourage young people of the Buccament valley to pursue excellence in all that they do”.

Edwards also pointed out that youngsters who excel at sports, business and vocational endevours will also be honoured.

The HOPE Foundation President said that he believes the award ceremony also serves to motivate others to stay on the right path and become the best they can be.
