The workshop ran for two days, starting October 6.

The officials reviewed a series of programmes leading to training in the areas of science and technology, health, education and teacher training, telecommunications, and tourism.

The training is expected to benefit young students from St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

The workshop was conducted by the Ministry for Higher Learning of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and is the fourth such event under the Alba Alliance.

Officials from Antigua and Dominica were also expected to attend the workshop.

Senator Charles returned to the state on October 9.
