The Commission has asserted âthat the incidences of violence against women, including rape, shootings, molestations and other forms of abuse, are on the rise in the countryâ.
The National Commission on Crime Prevention offers its condolences to the family, friends and community of Fitz Hughes. The NCCP considers it âa brutal and unwarranted attack on a senior citizenâ.
The NCCP is âconcerned that such violence will affect and traumatize our women and hamper the growth of future generationsâ. The NCCP will continue to educate citizens on non- violent ways and means of resolving conflict.
The Department is satisfied that the ârelevant authorities will continue to address and tackle violence, and will relentlessly pursue people committing such crimes,â with an effort to, in the shortest possible time, restore the peace and tranquility of our blessed land.
